WROTE IT OFF!!!! Saturday......Some woman thought it would be a good idea to swerve right and slam her brakes on to avoid a pheasant, just as I was overtaking her. Off duty police woman following said i went about 12 foot in the air and landed on my head. Cant move my head or arms properly but nothing major. Broken thumb and 2 fingers, feels like Ive been hit by a truck but all in all quite lucky, could have been a lot worse. Havent got any pics of the bike yet but so glad I was wearing a full face helmet!!
Glad youre alive, & im feeling your pain, thats exactly how i got wiped out, i was staring through the back window of a Honda CRV & had no option but squeeze the brake harder & down i went but it sounds like this mutant actually hit you :eek .
Fair play to the Roof helmet...i oft wondered if theyd be any good in a crash.
Rip one of the cleanest :faz s in the world too .
Do what you do best......get pissed & enjoy it as if its your last beer coz your last one very well coulda been.
& get back in the saddle asap, hopefully on a :faz , small or big.....fz1 really cheap you know :b
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike
Havent been to see it yet, apparently the bike cartwheeled. From what I saw of it at the scene, rear wheel and swing arm looked ok, pretty much everything else looked bent smashed or damaged in some way.
Unlucky Doddsie (unlucky in that you met one of the countless numpties), but lucky your injuries are not too serious, which I'm pleased to hear. GWS mate.

GWS Doddsie. I feel the pain for both yourself and how you must be feeling about both your injuries and the sad demise of that immaculate boxeye.
It's a sad fact that it would appear only a very small percentage of drivers have even half a clue how to drive these days. Very few drivers know exactly what's going on around them at any given moment. Most only react to what happens as far away as the end of their bonnet which appears to be what happened here.
Anyways, I digress. GWS
Yamaha Fazer 'the only bike you'll ever need' maybe ???
Tried fitting givi rack, what a pain in the arse it is. I can't get the brackets to line up to put grab rail back on and thus secure the bracket. Am i missing something? Any advice appreciated
Women have chocolate men have bikes.....
including ones who like chocolate....
Sorry to hear that mate, it was a lovely bike. Still at least you made it out in pretty much one piece. And my Dad wonders why I'm not a confident overtaker...too many fuckwits in the world too easily distracted and too many blind spots. Hope all goes well for you recovery wise.

Pulled the bike out remembered it was no longer taxed and that i had a broken finger on the left hand so wasn't able to even ride it if it was taxed. Doh.
