Just removed the XJ600 exhaust. Awaiting delivery of a stainless steel replacement, hopefully this afternoon.
What did you do with whatever else you've got?

New exhaust arrived. Fitted ready for tomorrow. I'm going to Oulton Park to meet some friends who are doing a trackday.

That exhaust has spruced up the whole bike Anquetil. 8)

Would it be rude to say...........Christ XJ600's are ugly?

I must admit that it does look a lot better than the corroded Motad, Noggy.
It wouldn't be rude at all to say that it is an ugly beast, Midden. When I bought it in 1989 it was the belle of the ball, but we all age. I have to say that she has been a good servant over the years and I do have a sentimental attachment, which is probably why I keep spending more money than she is worth on her. The exhaust, (£260.00), is worth as much as the bike.

70 miles round trip, Bala and back. Food and drink at Caffi Tegid by the lake. Frosty start, ice in the gutters at Bwlchgwyn, but soon warmed up.

Last weekend I began the work of replacing the radiator in the ZS - the final step toward getting it back on the road. Today I finished this off and the car is finally running properly with no leaks!!
Looking forward to using it more now and heading off to a meet with it tomorrow ![]()

I fitted an integrated rear light to my V4 tuono and bar end indicators, so no sticky out indicators anymore!

Took my Katie Em up to Scotland to ride some back roads and fire tracks with a few friends.
Base camp was at Inchree and ride outs were from there to: Point of Ardnamurchan, Isle of Mull perimeter road, Fire tracks and off roads through Glen Nevis and Glenrigh Forest. Ride out on first day was cut short due to worsening weather conditions and our pace slowed from 15-40mph to 50 yards an hour. I dropped my Katie after all grip and traction vanished. It was the sort of road that you needed to read all the time. One eye off the ball and you've run out of road... and that was vanishing very quickly under falling snow. In all a good four days riding in some Arctic conditions and a bonus day riding me Katie back from St.Helens to Suffolk. A few pictures. Gaz. Safety Officer :lol ![]() Ian.
