Touch Up Paint
#1
Looking for advice on what colour my bike is as I'm trying to buy some touch up paint. I've looked through all my documentation as all it says is silver. There are two types of according to RS Paints...Silver Tech and Silver Storm.....am I right in thinking that the Silver Storm is darker and Silver Tech is lighter.

Also looking for advice on what touch up engine paint to buy.

Cheers BBB

Simonez Alumium spray for the engine is the best. Not sure on the bike colour though.

Bigbluebear,

Hopefully a picture of mine is attached, which I think is silver tech. I had some paint made up in a rattle can at a local suppliers to spray the grab rails. The metallic flakes are maybe a bit more coarse than original, it's not really noticeable on the grab handles, but you would notice it if you were touching up. I can try and get the info from the can later if you like?

Having read you op properly, I see it was only engine touch up you were after anyway.

Read it again......looking for tank and headlight fairing touch up, that's why the question on Silver Tech or Storm........engine touch up was secondary........hence the two ebay listingsĀ  Smile

I never read anything properly!
Yeah, that looks right, and I don't think there were any more silvers at that model year from what I could find.
I'll check my can when I get home.

My can just said 'S3' on it, which if I remember corectly was a code the local supplier came up with for silver tech.
I looked on the rspaints website and silver tech was the only silver option for my 2003 model
