FZS600 as a winter snow bike
#21
Yep, I am in Finland.

No snow expected at least for a week. 0...+4 C temperatures. The only problem is visibility in the darkness with rain on the visor.

Ideally you need one of these but with your temperatures don't blame me if your finger falls off!
They're brilliant in just rainy weather though.  Smile

Yesterday was a snowy day in the city, I got a nice dose of slipping and sliding on ice and snow. Rode about 100 km running pre-Christmas errands.

So far winter riding is fun, if a bit scary still.

Saw on your blog that you've bought some steel toe capped boots. It may be a myth but I've heard they aren't a good idea for motorcycling as if you crash and your toes get bent back the edge of the steel toe can cut off the end of your foot.
Feel the Fear and do it anyway!

Good point!

That phenomenon works with cycling glasses where the lens is made of one piece of plastic, the edge can cut off the bridge of the nose if you land on your face.

So not so great an idea to wear steel capped boots.
