MotoGP Bandwidth
#1
Just taken a new broadband contract with BT, so now have access to MotoGP, Hooray!

I've got a 10GB monthly download limit.  Anybody know how much a MotoGP uses on a "device"?

Cheers.

BT Broadband customers get BT Sport free so if you've got Sky then you can view MotoGP free.
I could change my opinion, but then we'd both be wrong.

Yeah, don't have Sky though, cheapskate FreeSat guy.  So I'll have to watch on laptop/tablet/phone etc.

1gb is about an hour in standard definition of tv viewing based on downloading from iplayer.

Check the details, they might not include bt sport streaming in your bandwidth.

10GB a month? That's not much really. Virgin slow down my connection for the rest of the day if I go over 5GB in a day but they only slow it down from 60Mb to 10Mb so I tend not to notice when it happens :rollin

And yes, it is easy to hit 5GB in a day of you download a software DVD or two from Microshaft.

I pretty sure if you're a BT broadband customer you have to login to the BT Sport website, once you've done this on a laptop it doesn't use any of your bandwidth.

I've got BT Infinity Broadband with 20Gb limit and that's how mine works. I watched ALL of the last season's racing without any problems.  Big Grin

Virgin stopped throttling on downloads a while ago, it's unlimited now.  The only thing they throttle on is uploads, the threshhold for a 60Mbit connection is 1.3 Gigs in 2 hours ...you'd be going some to exceed that (unless your upload speed on Bit torrent is set to max)
