Took the R6 shock and dog bones off and replaced with the stock shock and dog bones, giving the underneath a right good clean, just got to replace the Mivv exhaust with the stock one and then in a couple of weeks time fit the chain n sprockets and oil change and she'll be ready for selling in the springtime... Well i wasnt actually thinking about biking coz i reckon tiesday will be my day for that but then i seen hairnets nice shiney FZ6 out n about and i thought yeh the weather aint bad so i went out for a little pembrokeshire jont......some really shite roads and then some really nice ones where i managed some proper cornering.......still no grit which is nice but the roads are still a state.

Ended up mooching about.....went to Plumstone mountain, st davids and then Porthgain where i got all arty farty.

Cleaned the brake caliper pistons front and  back ( thanks to the advice on this forum ) , cleaned and lubed the chain , hosed the bike off and gave it a liberal coating of GT85 , WD40 down the barrel and key , put the battery on charge for an hour and refitted it to the bike , checked the oil and coolant levels , started the bike up and ran it for 20mins , checked the tyre pressures and topped them up , checked the lights , indicators and horn , took the battery back off  .

Stunning last day of my biking season. Cold, sunny and very scenic with some new top class roads explored. Well worth the petrol and with the added bonus of no walking, running or cycling or any other fit shit.

Big thanks to Dave48 for letting me know about the Mountain road to Machynlleth which was really sublime.

Did a couple hundred miles in the end going Llandovery to Beulah to Rhayader and then as far as Llanidloes before taking the B4518 for a few miles which me and Pilgo did before, and then going proper off piste only armed with a google earth image in my mind. Eventually found the Mountain road which is for sure on my favourite roads list now and I'm so chuffed i forced myself out today to find it. Such a good surface compared to the mainstream roads, very smooth and flat.

Enjoyed a nice blast back down the Welsh coast on what seemed like a set of new tyres......ok i know this is bullshit as my tyres are completely shot but I'm just trying to portray a sense that i had.....totally relaxed and feeling like the tyres were somehow rounder on the corners....the heated grips on my hands making me feel like the tyres were in fact heated.....a state of mind really....almost like i was on a lathe and turning my tyres as i rode to make them ride better...shqving them off as i went.

I've always been this way......50 miles minimum to warm up yet after a couple hundred miles I'm in the groove...& that's the tragedy of the story.....I'm getting good when I'm getting sore.......arguably id be far better on a comfier bike. I wish i could ride like that within half an hour of every ride but i just don't...that is why the thou is wasted on me.

Anyway i spent far too long taking pics but i hope i got a couple you like.

Balanced my cards for the third time. First time used multiple tube and t piece method,  bike sucked all the oil out straight away.
Then tried some vacuum gauges but they weren't accurate enough.
Today used some water in some glass coffee jars, I feel I got it pretty good.  God damn those adjustment screws are touchy though,  I was like turn 1mm, rev,  oh it's out the other way,  adjust adjust... Chased it around for like 45 minutes... See how it goes on the way to work tomorrow. Glad I put the bung back in my yoshi can,  it would have been damn loud in the shed (and for the missus up above in the house and for the neighbours like 4m away...)
