airbox rage!! help?

So fitting new engine to 98 fzs 600  an hour trying to get the airbox on and no joy! Tried lots of lube and i get 2/4 at best... is there a way to get them on easier than brute force and a long bar

Will try again tomorrow brute force got 2 in will try heating them up see if it helps

I've been there. Warm them up, I used a hot air gun but even a hair dryer would help.
