Well after taking a very long way home that's me back after getting the fully monty magic and wow it's fantastic. Sooooooooo smooth power throughout the rev range and a belting top end - love it. Makes we wonder if I really need the fireblade as well (but since when did "need" even come into it lol).

A huge thanks to Mike for fitting the kit and also to Brian for hosting.

Safe trip home Mike and hope to see you again before another 9 years have passed!

So when's the Ivanised Scotfoccers run happening then?  :b

I'd say he's a Foccin legend, I'm just back from a 260 mile round trip via Loch Lomonf, Tynedrum, Oban, Lochgilphead, Inveraray and home again. I am very pleased with the results, smoother throughout the gear range, faster acceleration, huge rush from 7-8k to the red line and could swear ive got better fuel economy which doesn't make sense and less vibrations. It's like a different bike that I'm having to learn to drive again as im hitting the brakes more often.

Mike, I take my hat off to you sir you really are the God of all things Fazers, have a good trip home mate you've made a few Scottish foccers very happy.

Hi all,

Great to have some positive feedback, especially from bigbluebear.  I guess it's been so long since I upgraded my own Fazer from slip-on to Full Monty that I've forgotten that the change really is that noticeable.  I'm really pleased that you're happy with the outcome, Bruce. Smile

I really enjoyed hooking up with all the guys that made the trip to Brian's place, even if I did make the fundamental faux pas of mentioning footie in the presence of a Rangers and a Celtic fan. :lol

Kenny, brilliant to catch up with you again after so many years and a testament to the enduring appeal of the Gen 1 that you're back in the fold again.  Or clan, if you prefer. Wink

None of this would have been possible, though, without the wonderful support of Brian and Libby, who provided me a place to work all weekend, fetched me to and from the airport and fed us all over the course the weekend.  I can't thank you two enough, mate.  Cheers! Smile

If any of you fancy a group ride down on the Costa Blanca, we can make it happen ... I know some cracking roads down here.  Failing that, look out for me and missus in our mobile roadblock (motorhome :lol) around the West Coast in a year or two.  We'll be over to rot up a road near you soon Big Grin

Thanks again, everyone - great weekend.  I enjoyed it a lot. Smile

Hi Mark

A pleasure to meet you too, fella ... your reaction post-test ride had us all chuckling for the rest of the weekend.  Sounds like you had a brilliant time on your travels so it was a worthwhile trip in every respect.

I daresay there's a few of the Scottish contingent you met in Irvine who'd be happy to keep you company on your next visit, if only to keep you out of the ditches :lol

Thanks for making the journey to hook up with me and all the very best. Smile

I'm gutted to have missed out on Mikes visit especially after reading all the glowing positive reports on the work he did. I was actually in Spain riding when Mike was over here (oh the irony) so missed out on the opportunity of getting my Fazer done at the same time.
Mike, we have spoken via PM's but please let me know when you are next planning a trip over to the UK and I'll make sure mine is first in the queue.....

Hi Falco,

Sorry but that's the way it goes sometimes.  There's always the next time, though. Smile

My next dedicated trip is likely to be early April 2015 but I will be in Cornwall in late October.  I have feeling that's a bit far for you to travel, though ... Wink
