Elo again -and help!

Hi all not really new here -but so long since I logged in I lost me bloody password!  so set up new account ( Im really s.baker -formerly "grumpy Groucho" :\  to my mates)
now for me problem. anybody know where I can get a speedo sensor for my 2001 FZS600? Spent £18 on new bit with the lugs, worked fine for 2 month, then nothing-no speedo, no odometer working. Got an electrical mate to check it -seems sensor nackered. looking on line, Yam want £125 for a new one ! Taking the piss or what! So if any body has one or know a breaker with one , give me a shout please. Cheers

look at the lugs again. Are you sure they aren't broken?

The other thing that was common on these a while ago was the wire between the hub and the speedo would break. Have a good look at that as you can repair it.

Yeh -lugs are fine -sparky mate had a meter on the wires -if he touched em speedo moved but he says the sender is not working so problem is in the sender itself

I got mine from someone who was breaking a Fazer on eBay. Cost me £25 delivered for the new sensor as like you, there was no way I was forking out for a new one from Yamaha
