Oem handlebars
#1
Hello

I've recently bought my first bike, 52 plate fzs 600. A previous owner changed the handlebars to very wide ones. I'd like to return them to something like the original setup, but it's not essential that they are exactly the same.

I read a post somewhere about an owner using some bars from a 1000 and the feedback/handling was improved. If I had the originals, I'd have a starting point of work from, but as I don't, I'm a bit stuck :rolleyes The current ones are very wide and very low and not comfortable at all. I get pins and needles after an hour riding and all I can see in the mirrors are my arms and the sky

Any suggestions on where I can find something new or preferably used but undamaged gratefully accepted. Cheers

Get yourself some Renthal ultra low 758's, miles better than the standard bars which to be truthful are bloody awful!
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

I found the standard FZS600 bars very comfortable but everyone will give you a different answer depending on their size, riding style and individual preferences. Maybe some one on here can measure the width and rise of the standard bars for you? You may just need to shorten the bars you have?

Rotating them backwards/forwards makes a big difference too. I always slacken everything off on a new bike, sit relaxed on the bike and just find out what angle your arms, hands naturally fall at on the bars/controls.
