MAYBE WANTED: Cheap bike
#1
With the head gasket on my Peugeot dodgy, I'm tempted to cut and run: sell it as fast as possible, then replace it with a bike. This depends on cooperative parents on Friday though!!

Just to get a feel for the waters (as it were), has anyone got / know of a reliable, cheap 250cc+ bike up for sale?

I'll also see how much the scrappy will offer me. But I need transport, have no money, and literally have my back to the wall. I don't like it either, but sometimes you've gotta do what you've gotta do.

And please don't hijack.

That's scary!  :eek

Mine's not that bad, just suspected head gasket failure. But I can't afford to have it fixed, nor can I have it off the road long enough to fix myself, as I have neither the time nor the equipment.

Do you know, I'd forgotten about that?!?  :lol

Once the carbs are on, all it needs is an end can, a check over by Deefer, and away I go! And I'll still have the bits to projectify it as I go!

Good call, Micky!  Smile

Just checked insurance on a standard Fazer: £265.

Looks like this is the way to go.  Smile
