On this day, 2 years ago, at 2:30pm, I presented myself at the Bury St Edmunds test centre for my Mod 2 on my XL125 Varadero. I was quite nervous, as I had to be out of Uni accomodation 2 weeks later, and needed to get home to France.
An hour later, I left the test centre, where, to my astonishment, I found I had indeed passed my test. That was the beginning of my rideing career proper.
And so today, my 33hp restriction is lifted from my license! It's a bit bittersweet: I look forward to riding some more powerful bikes, not least Project fazer, but I'm a bit sad that I'm unable to ride a bike today.
Ride safe, all, and let the good times roll.

Congrats Chris - my son has very recently passed the 2 year mark after his test and we took the restrictors out of this Fazer.
After his first ride with full power he was just grinning from ear-to-ear !
Today's a small celebration for me - just passed my annual LPC this morning (it's a regular thing, but I always get nervous when an examiner flies with me), so another 12 months of carefree flying beckons.

Congrats to you too! You'll have to fly over to Main Hall Farm sometime to look at the e-Go!

Good on you chris keep plugging away mate, just give us plenty of warning for when you get back on the road.

Congrats Christo mate. Just a shame you don't have a bike to get on a wee celebratory ride out. Still, won't be too much longer before you get project Fazer roafworthy with any luck, and it will be full power
