If you can hear it rumbling it needs replacing mate, I noticed it as soon as I picked up the Jetta. Throw the weight onto the side of the car with the suspect bearing (i.e. if right hand bearing, steer left) and it'll get a lot louder.


The job itself is a piece of cake, so no need to get the garage involved.

Crashed my car into a deer  :o . Damage is not the worst though, should be able to get it roadworthy with some gaffa tape and a trip to the scrapyard  Big Grin

Completed my 150 mile cycle ride (Whitehaven to Sunderland), acting as shepherd/sweeper for nigh on 30 other riders.


Whole thing was to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support - they gave fantastic care to my dad when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer in late '05 - anyone here who wishes to help out their family and friends who suffer with cancer, can add a bit of sponsorship via our (my wife and I) Just Giving page.

Would love to fly in but the Schweizer iis in E Mids having its engine swap (2,200 hours flown) - might well drive over though - if I can afford the diesel now.

You lot and your planes,,my brother inlaw and sister have a plane,,an old old wooden frame, canvas covered,open cockpit ,,biggles type,based up from Cheddar.private air field.
Now they keep saying they will come up to Shobdon airfield,our local one, and take me for a ride,,,,ummm mister,,,,so foar lucky enough they have not got here :lol

Had to pay the bloody DVLA £80 as LLP on my last Fazer, despite me explaining the situation directly. If there is even the slightest hint of a fuck-up when I send my licence in for derestriction, there's gonna be blood!

Replaced worn carbon brushes in washing machine motor.

Removed the roof tiles, battens and renewed the felt from the back of the house,also sorted a small electric problem on my daughters car, also burnt my arms, legs and the top of my head....bloody sun......need to get back out there and tidy up now......roll on monday so I can have a rest at work  :\
