so you buy a bike on ebay.............

but get no reply from the vendor either to calls or via ebay.
how long do you leave it before writing off the sale, bearing in mind that collection has to be co-ordinated due to travelling distances.

I dunno mate, that place is a bloody minefield, it goes both ways, twice isold my busa on e bay and never saw the buyer..third time lucky a genuine bloke..and reporting people to e bay is a joke, as soon as you do that you can't leave negative feedback!

wait 8 days since last official contact and then open a case via eBay, telling them that seller has not responded.


That was he/she can't turn around and say YOU haven't paid.


Ensure all messaging happens via eBay.


Only you will know instinctively whether the seller has changed their mind or something, if the bike sold for a lot less than s/he wanted for it, they may try to remain silent, however, ebay's selling terms means that if you advertise an item on there, you MUST have it available for sale!


Sounds obvious but you know....


Bought a blackberry phone once n seller tried to back out of sending it. Reminded him of the above terms n conditions and he soon obliged.

Usually the other way round isn't it.
The seller states that the buyer must get in touch within 5 minutes or he's going to kill you :lol
