Wide Blokes and Wing Mirrors
#1
Righto guys,

I know this has been covered in a fair bit of length in the past - but the STD. mirrors are bollocks (especially if your a fat foccer like me). I know the simple answer is to probably stay off the pies, but I like 'em, so there.

Is there any good alternatives to help the mirrors out? I did a bit of reading into the Fuzzyone mirror mod, here:

http://www.yamahafz1oa.com/fuzzyonesstoc...rmod.shtml

I dont like the look of them in the end though. I also dont like bar end mirrors, or ones on the bars.

Ive saw those spacer things that push the mirrors further forwards off the fairing, aside from being on the expensive side (~£50 for a spacer?) are they any use?

If its soemthing thats useful, I might have a crack at making my own set up - really want to keep an OEM sort of look, but just add a bit more functionality to a really shitty standard item.

dont you get wider if you breathe in (filling your lungs with air?) [Image: smiley_eyes.gif] [Image: smiley_eyes.gif] [Image: smiley_eyes.gif]

If only breathing in changed the width of my shoulders then yes, that would be a great shout  :rolleyes :lol

I tried the blocks & the stem swap mod. Neither did much for me. Blocks just move mirrors forward not out enough to make a difference. Stem swap just showed my hands in mirrors instead of elbows.

Did you read the OP Wink

I still do lifesavers when appropriate bigralphie, would just like to see a bit more around me that's all.

Sounds like the spacers are not the answer. Maybe I can make up some spacers to widen the mirrors, but I suppose that will bring with it an increase in vibeyness.

Put bar ends on mine after seeing them on DY's bikes, they take a little bit of getting used to, wouldn't be without em now.
