120 front tyre OK on 02 FZS 600 instead of 110?
#1
Hello All,

I'm needing a new back tyre on my 02 FZS 600 but I'm going to be changing both. Wanting to get Michelin pilot power 2CT's but they don't do 110 fronts.

Any views on putting a 120 on regarding handling etc?

Any input would be appreciated,

Thanks.

Been tempted before to put on a 120 due to so much more choice and availability.. Personally if Yamaha say 110, then 110 it is for me..
Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it..

I'd agree with johna...Yamaha put a 110 on there for a reason. I'm sure you can get quality sports touring rubber in that size. Plenty of grip for the road and I think you can only really appreciate the sticky compound rubber on a track. That's my humble opinion anyway.

Bridestones new s20 comes in 110 and is decent enough.
I've swapped the front end just so I can have 120's as there's so much more choice!
Some say...

Had a 120 on mine when I got it and while nothing went wrong with it I found it a lot slower to turn in than the 110.

Continental Road Attack 2's are well suited to the FZS600 (well they suit mine) and they have 110 fronts available  Smile
Yamaha Fazer 'the only bike you'll ever need' maybe ???

Thanks for the input, set my mind on pilot power 2CT but they don't do 110. Other options recommended are metz.M5, pirelli rosso2. my decision to make soon.
thanks again
