Hey, just been workin on my fazer's back brake, of which the pads are dead (no biggy) and the pistons are seized in (big biggy), so had a look at google for prices of new pistons to find some of the topics on the old site about fitting a Fazer 1000 caliper of the same age to the back of the bike.
Currently crawling ebay for one but just a wonder if it was still worth a shot as I'm lookin at about £100 probs to sort out the caliper i currently have if i can pull the bastard pistons out.
cheers

Had mine seize in and the pads were shocking so I left them in and popped the lid on the hydraulic reservoir. It took a hammer and chisel and a few hours to free them up then stripped down and clean put them back as seals were good.
It was the crud on the exposed area of the piston and onto the caliper that made mine seize. No idea about fitting a Fazer 1000 caliper

well, after more reading and finding the part, IN THE STATES, i think i have enough details to do the upgrade really. Tempted to go for it really as of the cost of rebuilding the caliper

I manged to score a fazer 1000 caliper off eBay for a good price
So I have a fzs600 one waiting to be sold
I had to do some fine fettling with a dremel to make it fit
Bit was easy to do
