Figuring it would help make it more sellable, I bought a taller screen for my cb1300 to complement the touring abilities of the full fairing, fitted it went on a 100 mile ride to check it out.
Worked brilliantly,80 -  90mph is blissfully relatively wind free, quick twist of the wrist 110-120 overtakes also no buffeting.
Massive downside is I'd forgotten how good the bike looks and feels. I'm really gonna struggle to put it up forsale. :'(

Finally got round to adjusting the handbrake on the 106... which involved reversing onto a pile of wood in a vague check design to get the back end up in the air, then crawling underneath and attacking it with a 13mm spanner!!  :eek Sorted now, and the handbrake actually works (at last)!  Confusedmokin

Then I had to tax it.  :2guns WHAT?!? £79.50 for the priviledge of driving that car on the God-awful British roads for the next 6 months?!? :grumble Not a happy bunny.

MOT coming up too...  :groan

I'm a little lost for words. I knew you had a few, shall we say, issues... but... just wow...

So much money for random, untested, swingarms... but not enough for a basic hydraulic floor jack  :rolleyes

Hydraulic jacking: 10 mins of faffing about. Reversing onto the chocks, 20 secs. Job jobbed.

As Christo got fed up with the Kwak's and the Peugeot's and wondered what we got up to with our other toys....... Well, here it is.

Nice weather, blue skies and a bit of a bimble in my no 1 toy -  my Schweizer S300 CBi - it's an awesome way to get around and see the country, and the main reason why my bike riding has suffered (but I do love it and spent a lot of time getting my pilots licence - a lifelong dream).

Oh wow!

My boss has a Rotorway heli, and shares a Sportscruiser. I need to persuade him to take me for a bimble!!  :lol :lol

Say, Millietant, if you ever decide to fly into Main Hall Farm, Conignton, I can show you the most advanced plane being built in Britain at the moment: the e-Go!

I keep the Schweizer at Leicester, how far is Conignton (if you don't mean Connington) from Leics? Could be worth a trip in with Liz one day this summer.

Sorry, I meant Conington, near Fenstanton, just to the west of Cambridge. You need to call ahead at Main Hall Farm to get landing permission, ask for Charlie Papworth.

If you plan to do it one weekend, let me know, I'll see if I can get the OK for you to have a look around (should be fine).  Smile

OK, will do - and I'd be perfectly happy to take you up for a bit of a bimble when I'm there - if you'd trust me.

You don't mean Peterborough Connington do you - EGSF, if so, I've been in there a couple of times - just outside Stilton, East of A1(M).

No, not Peterborough Conington, this one!

Main Hall Farm is a farm strip (big surprise there). Grass. Quite a long taxiway. Used to be home to YLAC's HQ until they went bust, currently home to e-Go Aeroplanes. www.e-go.me

Great picture, you youngest does not look to impressed with your riding  Smile He looks like he is thinking "I wish he would go a bit faster"  :lol
If he is anything like mine, the first time I decked the pegs when he was on the back, all I got was "You only did it once" Big Grin
