Blue Foxeye 14900 miles for sale £1595
#1
Where to start. New to the forum so it's the very height of cheek to advertise here so let me start by saying that I had no intention of selling when I bought the Foxeye off Mickvp at the end of last month. Mick has been gracious in suggesting that I could try using the forum to pass on the bike to someone who could actually use it !Truth is that I failed to appreciate just how much my back has deteriorated over the last few years. Riding is just not a viable option as I have to load up with so many painkillers to get my leg over the bike (fnarr fnarr) that I'm neither legal nor safe to ride. :\  I'd like to tell you that my back problem is a result of an epic but undocumented battle with the late, great and much lamented Joey Dunlop but the truth is rather more prosaic involving nothing more than a higher than average kerb and my inattention.

I've put precisely zero miles on the bike since I've had it. Serviced under a thou ago it's had

New oil filter (K&N).
Oil change (Silkolene).
Air filter changed (OEM).
Iridium Spark Plugs Fitted (NGK)
Brake lines changed for braided lines (Goodridge 2 line front, single rear).
Brake fluid changed (Ferodo super DOT 4).
Front & Rear brake pads changed (Ferodo platinum all round).
Carbs Balanced.
New Michelin PR2 tyres front and rear.
New number plate

New D.I.D. chain and sprockets fitted less than 100 miles ago

It also has the following bits fitted:

Clear lens covers
Fenda-Extender.
Colour coded rear hugger.
Engine crash bars (I think they are renntec ones).
Renntec sports rack (not currently fitted, but whoever buys the bike is welcome to it).
Beowulf radiator cover
Scottoiler
Included is also the OEM yamaha toolkit under the seat (all the bits are there), and I have 3 keys for it and a folder with a load of old MOT's etc.

HPI clear with the V5C in my name and address
I'd like £1595

Good price that ! Won't hang about for long at that price I don't reckon.

I can also vouch for this bike 100%, it hasn't wanted for anything while it's been in my care! and I've only sold it a few weeks ago.

Good luck with the sale mate Smile

What "need to get it to Scotland" :eek
Why not get the train or fly down and ride it back. It is a Fazer which is more than capable of doing that short journey :lol

He's currently got a Virago - which explains the reticence to ride  Wink

I know, I was only kidding, did you not notice the emotion icons, but what better to enjoy something new and learn if he has somebody to travel with him Smile
I took a friend to Coleraine from Cork on my Fazer. He was buying his second bike and we rode back, took us a few hours longer but was a great learning curve for him. He was sore, tired and grinning from ear to ear when we got home. Smile

No problem riding home from Manchester
Didn't realise it was that close

Last one I had I changed the stickers on front to say Fraser  and got some strange looks at 2002 tt races

buy this one Frazer,

It's been a very well looked after bike, definitely one of the cleanest foxeyes around (apart from mine obviously  :b )

Do it!

Chris

P.S. Sorry to hear of your back trouble Mr seller.

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

Deposit taken on it today, going to a very nice guy for whom it will be his first 'proper' bike. The human back is a totally crap design from an engineering standpoint and mine was made late on a Friday afternoon in a heavily unionised factory. :'( Plenty of people are much worse off than me though and with two of my daughters riding I feel I've contributed a bit.
