Who can recommend the best tyres to fit to a fzs600. :rolleyes
Long life and good in the wet.
Lifes journey is not to arrive safely at the graveside in a well preserved body.

Everyone sings about PR3's. Used them myself on my fz1 and they are really good in the wet. Got about average wear out of them too.
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

For those two criteria - PR3's although the newer PR4 is out now so should be even better!

I've just fitted BT30s front and back and they have transformed my bike 100%.

oh well, I just had a pair of PR3s fitted. The bike had only done 6,500 when I got them fitted so I guess the last pair may have been stock (bridge stones).

I wouldn't worry mate, I get 15000 on average out the pr3 rear!

Most modern sports touring tyres will serve your needs,ive been using metzeler z6 for the past two years and love them esp at £160 a pair! I believe the pirelli equivelents are a little cheaper.

+1 for the Metzeler Z6. Suit my needs and never let me down. Its a bit of a personal preference re tyres, price, riding style etc.
Those are my principles...if you don't like them I have others.

I had to have a valve replaced and the guy said my tyre was getting squred off or something like that, what of an issue is this?
The tread iss ok and I have not noticed anything whilst riding

Another vote for Dunlop Road Smart tyres great grip in all conditions. I commute to work all year around so need reliable grip in the winter.

I'll second that about maxxis.  There's a lot of them on here that think different.
I've been using them for the past couple of years on my commuter bikes with no problems, and even got maxxis diamonds on the fz1, and they get ragged senseless.

Hiya fella, see piccy below for a squared off tyre

It depends on the brand/profile of the tyre and sometimes also the bike. When pointy profile tyres square off the handling can go off big time. The front tyre develops a shoulder which can make the steering feel vague and slower to turn in and if you push on past, it feels like the front is going to fold when cornering due to riding from a flat surface, over the edge and then a sudden increase in lean. The rear being squared off will increase the effect of a slow turn in developing into a sudden drop in. Squared off rears can also cause a high speed weave.

Tyres squaring off is normally down to a fair bit of motorway commuting, only gunning in a straight line or tyre pressures

Been using Metzelers too. I do around 7K miles a year, mostly round city. Had about 15 months out of a Z6 on front before I got a puncture. Probably had a 3-4 months grip in it. Got Z6 on rear too, that went on last July ish, still got loads of life in it. Put a Z8 on front last month, seems good so far, no complaints, but not pushed it to limits yet though.
