Yeah, I'm pretty good at conveniently "forgetting" to buy replacement crush washers.

Just found one on eBay for £1.69 plus £1.10 P&P, so ordered it :thumbup

Surprisingly my local Yamaha dealer only charges 60p for a crush washer(sump plug type)

more like a reasonable price. best tell him to stock up the foccers could be coming his way lol

£1:13 at my yam dealer. Reading manual it implies renewal isn't necessarily needed

Fitted my new Renthal 755's and they looked stupid on the OEM tall risers  :rolleyes

Ripped everything back off and sourced some shorter Bandit risers, just waiting for them to arrive so I can enjoy the sunshine  Smile

Washed it , polished it , applied GT85 to metal parts( not discs) , applied WD40 silicone bike shine to rubber(not tyres)  and plastics , polished exhaust , cleaned and lubed chain , checked coolant and oil levels .

Pushed back the rubber boots on the Coil end of the Plug caps and coated the area with Vaseline.
That will stop the water getting in and causing the rough running. Smile
Replaced my worn clutch lever, clutch back to normal feel again. Big Grin
Difficult to see the hole wear in the picture, but the difference is always amazing

You will just have to trade it for the real Fazer. You know, the one with the carburettors and real seat. :lol

Stripped rear caliper , needed a major clean and new seals, plus one new piston as the old one was marked badly.
Lucky i did this too as both pistons were missing any form of dust seal, just crud.

Then took her for a spin and rear brake works a treat. Should be ok for MOT in a few weeks. Smile

Went to Ilford to pick up some pannier liners for my Givi E41 panniers, forgot how wide they make the bike and tagged a couple of mirrors when filtering on A12.

Tomorrow pick up a set of 2001 R1 forks with modified Fazer lower yoke and CNC top yoke.
