It was a great night Noggy , he boxed really well , but he didn't get the decision , he was disappointed on the night , but both me and dad told him it was a close fight .
There were 19 bouts of 3 rounds each  , his was the 18th bout ,there were three weight categories , Adrian was fighting as a heavyweight , there were no age categories , the youngest boxer was 17,  the eldest 51 , from all walks of life .
They were led out by ring girls , to there own song choice , surrounded by flames shooting out of chimneys , 1 guy came out with a load of centurions  .
The audience was  at least 2000  strong  ,the ringside tables were £500 for a table of 10 , the tiered seating was £35 , standing was £ 30 .
They train for 10 weeks at least 10 hours a week , Zero to hero was started by 3 guys from Bristol , there on season 5 , Zero to hero now takes place in Telford  and Reading .
If you like boxing its a great nights entertainment .

Good luck , it takes a lot of guts to get in the ring , especially in front of a big crowd , what weight category are you in , and have you started the training yet , I don't envy you the shark tank at end of training .

Yeh you can find my blog here:

Have spent the last few years battling with my back,  December - April this year i was having a real hard time walking, physio's had given up and left me to the surgeons.  I started walking unaided in April just prior to my surgery consultation, and have slowly been building up the fitness, quite literally starting out from walking, where 50 meters was tiring.
Kinda figured, fukkit, i started the year fighting to walk, may as well finish the year fighting.
Not sure how/if i should, bring it up at work... HR will probably have kittens.  But i have a minimum number of tickets to sell, and if i have to get the work colleagues in, then i will do.
Formal training started saturday just gone.  I couldnt make that, so i went on the tuesday instead.  I was the only novice there, everyone else was fighting on the friday, including some championship contenders.  I thnk i put in a reasonable account for myself, but a HUGE difference in fitness between me and those guys!
Mondays - 3 mile run at lunch
Tues evening - Boxing
Wed/thurs - off
Fri - 3 mile run at luch
Sat - Boxing
That is pretty much my routine at the moment.  I'm 41 years old, have had a 20+/day smoking habit for the past 25 years, and have had to start my fitness training from absolute zero (walking).
Fight is on either Dec 5th or Dec 6th.
