Really sorry if this has been covered before. I've never ordered braided lines before so was wondering what the difference was between the OEM kit and the "race" lines. From what I can tell, it is literally the price and most on the internet go for the race kit as it is "easier to bleed and cheaper". Sounds good to me. Also, what do you think would suit a silver bike best plain silver braided with blue banjo bolts or blue lines with stainless bolts?

You said your bile was silver so what the fec are you doing putting blue bits on it, --- do you want it to look like its made out of lego.
I think they say race lines as that does away with the over the mudguard joining bar so that you have two lines directly from the master via a double banjo bolt. Thats what ive got anyway
Go sliver and stainless please
I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.
Haha I was leaning towards sensible and silver but the 8 year old in me saw the blue and made me think twice! Thought it might make a nice highlight, not even blue on the banjo bolt with a silver line then? Okay cool well I'll go for the race set up then in that case cheers for clearing that up.
I think they are calling it the race set up, when I got mine a few years ago it was just called a two line set up as opposed to a 3 line which is OEM.
The colour will come down to your own taste --- see what others say

I still love the look of these, whatever colour bike you've got!

One last thing, if I plan to put on a Fazer thou rear caliper will I have to buy the rear line separately that's meant for the Fazer thou or will the 600 braided line work if I buy the 3 as a set? Just a bit worried the thou line will be longer and may fit differently to rear master cylinder?
Don't forget to get your 25% discount

YAMAZER,did you ever work this out? im upgrading to the thou caliper, and i asked the same question elsewhere but got no answer? . im guessing HELL will have a answer when i get round to ringing them, just thought id run it past you first.
The 600 line should work fine
If you use the thou brace rather than the 600 brace then it means the caliper is fractionally further away but the line has enough slack to cope with it is it is only a few cm's.

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

:thumbup cheers chris
However, if you want a blue hel braided thou brake line then I do have one spare. Used but like new, slightly longer than the 600 line and yours for much cheaper than a new line

Haha! Just making the most of opportunities as they arise. haha.
The thou line has two rubber mounts on it as the thou has two mounts to hold it in place as opposed to the 600 which has just the one clamp that holds it against the swingarm. I assume the other clamp on the thou is on the caliper bracing bar... I'll have a quick check and let you know. Will you be fitting the thou brace or sticking with the 600 one?
I'll PM you a price.
As for oil: 10W-40 semisynthetic-any decent brand
