Dek that's one serious bike, i bet it goes like a Storm force wind.

I really wish i had the dosh, a year from now maybe i will & then i hope bikes like this pop up to tempt me.

But for now it seems we're all cheap skate foccers. Sad

Good luck with the sale. 8)

Very kind noggy. Yes it's quick, very quick & handles like a dream, hence the rearsets ;-). If you want to have a blast on it before it goes, pm me. I'm in NE. Unfortunately you may not want to return it :-)

Good man but i'm in the south west Sad  & i know id have to have it, i could imagine myself reeling off all the mods on the phone to the insurer  Smile ,I'm off to a stealers on sunday just to mooch about & sit on bikes so i'll be sure to have general shifty on the FZ1's & then picture how much better a fully tricked out one would be.

Well noggy, I hope, if you haven't already, get to own a true litre bike. Throttle pinned, quickshifting through the gears, with the speedo struggling to keep up & everything else around seemingly in slow motion is an experience to behold. Anyone getting my FZ1 will get this.
The only reason I'm parting with it is because for the first time in 8 years I've seen a bike that apart from the FZ1 really excites me & says buy me. That bike being the S1000r sport. OMG I can't wait. Roll on 20th May when I take delivery.

They're going for peanuts Chris, irrespective of mods. I'm not too bothered as I've made my mind up about moving on & just want rid.
Everything on the bike was done for me & I've had great times on it so in my mind I've had my moneys worth.

That's some lovely bike! How is the riding position compared to fazer 1000? Is it similarly relaxed? I am tempted. The only concern is the mileage. I know it's only 5k miles a year...

Paul don't be put off by the mileage it don't even look like its done half of it tbh and majority of the miles if not all have been done on yearly touring trips, a week away is between 2500-3k so you can see how the miles can rack up and i no Dek personally so when i say he is very anal over condition and maintenance i speak the truth, even on European trips away Dek will wash the bike and polish it once were at our hotel stopovers, whoever buys this will be getting a genuine loved bike, if i wanted a gen2 I'd have brought this myself and i have OCD .

I can vouch for the quality of this bike.  I have spent may mile chasing it over the North York Moors a few years ago.
Good luck with the sale Dek and looking forward to seeing some pics of the S1000r.  I'm pretty much certain I'll get one for next season once I've paid off my Street Triple.

Thanks Dave, James, much appreciated  :thumbup
I've had a few offers, a couple derisory, some reasonable but I don't need to sell it in a hurry as the s1r is already paid for. Hopefully someone who'll appreciate it for what it is will buy, it but until then it can stay put.
As to the s1r, the reports coming in are all positive. Yeah it needs new levers, mirrors, bellypan , screen & endcan lol but with those electronics & a measured, by mcn, of 159rwhp, who gives a fuck.  8)
