FOR SALE FZS600 OE Yamaha Engine Bars (GONE)
#1
Hi all!

As I have now put Renntec crash bars onto Polly the Boxeye, I've decided to pass on my Yamaha Crash Bars.

They are The small hoop, Official Yamaha bars. Very subtle looks.

My bike has fallen onto them. They did a very good job of keeping everything damage free.

As a result of the drop, I've given them a Hammerite Rattle can paint job. It's not Professional Powdercoat Perfect, but as you can see, they look pretty good. I'd say it's a 'B-grade' Paint job!

There is a run on the underside of one bar (as I said, I'm no pro, I just wanted them to be all black again!)

And here they are on the bike:

They cost me £70.

For £45 they're yours.

Ta.

I'll offer £35 for the coming weekend, and you get to put your sticker on Project Fazer?  Smile

You have yourself a deal ChristoT.

As you're close, I'm assuming you'd rather collect? Would have to be Saturday though, as I'm moving to Deutschland early Sunday a.m!  :eek

Sounds good!  Smile

I say the weekend, because nominally, I get paid on the 15th!  :lol If I get paid before then, I'll drop you a PM, as I work in Conington, near Fenstanton (even closer!)

Doh! Just bought and fitted a pair identical to this at the weekend. Have to say, they do look decent on the bike, definitely discrete and not too eye catching.

I have bad news I'm afraid Christot.

A large German spanner has been thrown in the works.

I'm about to move to Germany and over there, Renntec engine bars have no TüV (their equivalent to MOT) certification. So I can't register my bike with them on. So unfortunately, I'm now going to have to keep the Yamaha ones (factory parts are already assumed to pass) and get rid of the Renntec ones.

Really sorry to bugger you about mate.

And I was really looking forward to getting my sticker on the new build!!

Ah well, the speed this project is going, you can sell 'em to me when you get back (whenever that is) as I probably won't have finished yet! :lol

OK, prize for dick-of-the-day goes to me.

The nice shop in Germany that I bought these bars from has just informed me that TÜV doesn't extend to engine bars. So I'm good with the Renntecs after all!  :rollin

So, if you want, deals back on!!  :lol :lol :lol :lol

PS, So funny that you work in Conington! I ride through there all the time!!
