Replaced the foccing exup cable.

Fit them from the top down, much easier and a lot quicker  Smile

I did!  Smile Just that I was learning as I went. Much easier once I'd taken the top of the out cable right out of the frame. Next time I bet I can do it in 3.5 hours.  Wink

Was doing it before leaving for work and put hat over cycle bars which tipped. Hat didn't fall  but visor must have come in contact  with sharp object. Didn't notice till on the road :/

Took my one out of the shed and blow the cobwebs off, gave it it's first run of the season, 14 miles or so. Not far but far enough to see that everything is doing what it should, will be giving it a good clean over the next few weeks ready for sale, dunno what to buy next though :'( :'( .
If you worried about falling off your bike, you'd never get on.

Woke up this morning with the flu , bought myself some lemsips, waited till midday , then went for a bimble down to Minehead , plenty of bikes about , and loads parked up on the seafront , chasing a Z1000 and a GSX1400 most of the way .

Ordered myself a set of Venom stainless downpipes, courtesy of ebay.

Went out for an A-road blast along the Fosse Way.

bike is looking like a rat bike at the mo, as in fairingless...
spent the afternoon filling and sanding it in a limp attempt to repare the cracks in the fairing....that's now done so il have to find somebody who will do a cheap blow over on it.

Gave it a bath after clocking up 1000 miles bombing around Bristol, then Pembrokeshire, then to Cornwall, then Dorset then back home.
Some say that he eats habanero chilli peppers dipped in oil of capsaicin for extra bite and that his pyjamas are made from Nomex. All we know is, he's called Ad the Bad

Did 150 miles, went to a small village called Glyncorrwg in the valleys, not far from port talbot, very strange place...i reckon they eat their babies but i kept quiet about that to the mother in law as it's where she's from.

I grew up in a purpose built council estate in a new town, a shit hole, but to be expected, but there was something quite saddening about seeing this little old mining village, almost untouched & peaceful & the old miners houses.....& then scabby 80's flats with steel shuttered windows....i mean if your on the dole & up to no good then at least aspire to live somewhere with a bookies....or good broadband signal for the xbox....or mobile signal for your drug deals...or some shops to hang around outside....1 spar shop...which closed at 12 :eek .

I walked passed a house, the whole village was deadly quiet...then this guy from inside starts vomiting his guts up & the window is open & it is echoing around the enclosed streets.....it was just really surreal!

Anyway my bike didnt get nicked & i focced off outta there, another place seen on the bike but nowhere near as good as the A44 over mid wales so i'll scope that out tomorrow.

Wales - land of magnificent castles, beautiful hills and valleys, spectacular roads, excellent café stops. And Noggy visits on his first ride of the year.........................a run down council estate!  :lol  Way to go Nog, I can see me and Bill are gonna have to show you around your own patch one of these days  :rolleyes

Glad you got out at last though. Probably headed your way tomorrow, at least they're saying there'll be some sunshine. What happened to the promised week of great weather? I reckon the jetstream's gone so far north, it's come back up south of us again!
