Weathers looking pants folks. Shame really as I've been looking forward to this one. I went to the Mallory Park open day today with the Mrs and the weather was lovely with loads of bikes out and about at the event and on the surrounding roads. I suppose it's too much to ask for 2 decent days in a row yet  Sad

Think I'd prefer to do this one on dry roads, so I'm gonna bow out this weekend. Bugger  Sad

Hate to admit it but don't fancy riding home in the pissing down rain that is forecast for 2pm onwards, plus the winds are supposed to be 20mph, wind and rain not for me.

I'll probably do the Burnham bends in the morning before the weather closes in.

Lets see what next week brings

Just spoken to Exup and with heavy rain due on the route of the ride before it would be completed. It is looking like the best idea is to post pone till next weekend.

I think that's best unfortunately. Also, it's already freezing outside here, and we've had rain, so likely to be very icy in the morning. Don't think the bike will see daylight at all tomorrow. Fingers crossed for next weekend.

They are such good roads it would of been a shame not to be able to do them properly tip toeing in the wet
Good call
I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.

Bit gutted but it is what it is. No point doin the ride if people are bowing out as the whole point of the rideouts is to get as many people as possible to turn up. If anyone wants to meet somewhere for some breccy tomorrow morning in london please post up as the rain is due about 2 ish.

We definitely need to do this one at some point though. If you guys do it next weekend instead I will have to miss out as I'm working (like most weekends) but please come over to the midlands again in the future as it would be good to put some faces to names. Gutted about this one to be fair as I have booked time off now  Sad

I'm don't mind riding in the wet but it's certainly not my favourite pastime and it certainly takes the edge off a good ride out on twisty, scenic roads. Plus with the amount of salt they are still throwing down on the roads over our way it would turn the little boxeye into a right proper mess and she doesn't do salt.

Bloody British Weather  Sad

I'm working next week to Lez.  Perhaps if next weeks ride is a success it can be repeated in the summer and on the shift workers schedule  Wink

I'm a bit gutted too about this one as I was all geared up for it but do think it was the right decision. Wind and rain definitely takes the fun out of it and with such a long distance to cover and a good twisty route planned it certainly makes sense to put it off. Just a shame that some can't make it next weekend. Roll on the summer and a little weekend trip to Wales I say.
