WANTED: FZS600 project
#1
I still really miss my Fazer. And as I'm off bikes for a while due to Mum, new avenues have been opened (e.g., get a real hound and fix up / mod it till I can ride it!  :lol ). This is a bit optimistic, I guess, but does anyone have / know of an absolute hound they would sell for under £100? I could take an engine & various bits, as I still have a frame.

I just want another Fazer...

Thanks!

Eek! That it is! The no logbook bit worries me though... may need to ask my landlord very nicely if I can get another bike here....

You're right, I can. I'd just need to update the engine number.

Anyone in the Essex area who could store it for me for a few months? This seems too good to pass up, and might be a good longer term project for working on in France!

No, work messing me about meant I didn't bother bidding. Sounds like it's a good thing I didn't...

The fettler you are it would have made sense. Could have sold off the bits for some profit Smile Would have to dump A LOT of money in to it to make it road worthy again imo

@Fizzy - If I had the money, I'd be very, very interested (as in bidding). However, the most I can spend is £300, and even that is risking my neck as technically, it's the first sum I need to repay Mum and Dad on the car loan. I simply do not have the money. And even then, it would be an off-the-road project (insurance  :eek ).

Anyone feeling charitable with a Fazer they don't ride much anymore? :'(

Don't have a fazer to give, but will quite happily chuck a small donation to help you on your way

Thanks Tex, but I already have a bike - the ZX-4 (even if it has a mullered engine - I hope to find out next week quite how bad it is). I have an itch only an FZS600 can scratch!

Frame and V5, straight, not sure. I think red98 said the headstock was slightly twisted - I guess I could get it straightened....

BUT. I have no engine, no downpipes, no carbs, no forks, no wheels, no tank, no fairing.... Souricing all the parts I need to build it back up will cost more than a bike off the eebs. Especially as my modded project is going to cost a fair bit too (USD forks, single sided swingarm, underseat zorsts). The difference is that those parts will be a more gradual expense.
