These are my favourites so far. Id like to see them without the smaller black circle and grey overlay just to see if it looked any better with the flags being clearer. Good ideas so far though. :thumbup

ive got the psd files setup in photoshop now anyway doddsie, so making small changes and tweaks to the layers is (relatively) quick and easy. If i can get 4-5 designs pinned down (probably the 4 constituent flags, and the british one), that should appease the majority of people interested.

Theres no reason why i cant tweak the design to suit individuals as well though if someone wants something specific (for e.g. a LOFO design etc).

sometimes having too much choice is a bad thing though IMO  :thumbup

Brilliant work Mickvp  :thumbup . Good to be able to keep my home made disc holder for this.
I like them all but agree too much choice is not always a good thing. A standard design with just the different flags would make them more easily recognisable to fellow foccers.

The revised designs are fantastic (not fond of the "vignet" style though)

I would definitely be looking to get them printed for my bikes Smile

If you don't mind sharing later on, could you upload the PSD or attach to a forum post / PM ?

As doddsie says
Quote:Id like to see them without the smaller black circle and grey overlay just to see if it looked any better with the flags being clearer

The england one I think looks better without the wave in the flag but I think the red cross needs to be thicker/ bigger

The union flag isnt quite working is it

Ah, are you in Perranporth? we were thinking of moving over there, I'm very often one of those idiots you see standing in the surf trying to catch a bass of an evening. Currently we are about 20 miles away although I'm working and staying in London at the moment.

Tax discs:- Well done Mickvp for some great designs. I like the English one a lot although perhaps we should have the text midway between the outside border and the Yam logo (which looks great in blue) -reason is, some cheapo tax disc holders (ie mine) cover up a bit too much of the outside edge of the disc with the rubber seal thing.

There will never be a consensus on this so in reality any criticism should be aimed at the design, not the colours. That way, we can each customise our own tax disc as we see fit but it will still be recognisable. It wouldn't be overly hard to create a simple web page that allows users to upload their own background image to use and to alternate the colour of the centre yamaha logo. The latter may be slightly more difficult and initially I'd suggest limiting to a few choice colours.

Yes I think you are right, my whole thinking about changing the logo colour to match the flag was to make the flag stand out more as I just dont think that enough is seen to show its a flag. By making the text circle smaller it will show more flag. And perhaps you could try one with that part more transparent to let more flag through.

And if the outside white can be kept white like the top of the welsh one

I would be happy to use anything but am just trying to help perfect a design that we can all perhaps vote on

not as a constituent country, no Wink

I may not get any time with these today, perhaps later. I think ive just clicked onto the "grey overlay" you have been talking about - because the UJ flag is a bit darker than normal? its just the design of flag ive used, I can change it for a brighter one later Smile

Personally I don't think it should contain and national reference. Isn't this a non political group primarily for owners of fazers, welcoming all regardless of racial, social and national background
