Didn't take any pics of the process sorry, but here's roughly what I did:

Unbolt the bar end weights.
shove a narrow screwdriver under the bar grips to create a bit of space and spray WD40 or 3 in 1 inside.
Twist the grips round until they work loose and take them off.
Wipe the bars dry and clean with brake & carb cleaner (any solvent would do I suppose though).
Remove the last bits of glue with fine sandpaper or a washing up scourer.
Slide the Oxford grips on (temporarily).
Screw the control unit onto the steel bracket with the self-tapping screws provided in the kit.
Bolt the control unit to the indicator switch.
Lift up the front end of the fuel tank and prop up.
Find a suitable route for the wiring. I ran them below the handlebars as close to the original wiring loom as possible. Pay special care to the position of the grips so they don't interfere with any of the controls. As a useful guide I found the best position was where you could read the word 'Oxford' on the grips. I'll load a pic when I'm home from work. On the RHS bar it's a compromise between accessing the starter button and not interfering with the brake lever. It's a bit of a pain to hit the starter now but rather that than clashing with the brakes!
Once happy with the wiring, tape up the  bullet connections in the wiring to make them weatherproof.
Route the wiring along the main loom to the battery, and replace the tank.
Remove the grips, coat the bars with the superglue provided and slip the grips back on. They'll set really quickly!
Pop up the seat, disconnect the battery, screw the new connectors onto the terminals and put the seat back.
Fire it up  and take it for a spin!  Big Grin

Hey mate,
with the premium ones you can wire them straight to the battery - they've a couple different modes to help reduce the chance of getting a flat battery - if the voltage drops below 10.5V then they switch off, and if it's between about 11.5 and 10.5 then they reduce the heat slightly and go onto an "eco" mode. If you are thinking of getting a set I'd get your order in soon, I've only got a few sets left now and now that I've also got them listed on eBay (albeit for a higher price than you guys are paying) they're really going rather quickly!

Got mine on Friday - fitted over the weekend and tried them properly for the first time this morning. Can't believe how warm they get compared to the old ones I had on (Motrax). After about 10-15 mins they were getting almost too hot - a nice problem to have!

Only 2 -ve points:

1) The tube of superglue that came in the pack was rock solid so no use.
2) If I put the bar end on the throttle side it prevents the throttle snapping back freely. Whilst "cruise control" could be handy I think it's safer not to have it sticking! I know the end of the grip can be trimmed and that may be the answer - anyone else had this issue? Mine is a 2004 FZ6.

That's the whole idea of the trimmable bit - it's how I got mine to fit properly on my FZS 600, just took a couple mm off the end!

Cruise control! Never though of that!  :lol
I had the same problem, but it states in the instructions to trim as necessary so it's no biggie.  Smile

Right guys, down to one set of the plain sports grips left, and two sets of the adventure grips now.

Anyone lingering out there that still wants a set before they're all gone?!
