#1
It is well documented by mike falcon the ins and outs of r1 install on early type forks
this is the start of a guide to 07 onwards fork and wheel install

i have done one set already and about to start another so thought be good to do a write up for info
this is not law you may wish to change things
i am not intrested if you dont like a part or go all teccie engineering type crap if you dont like it dont do it and moan elseware

that said i hope it inspires other to take the gen1's to the next level

i welcome posative imput as there is always room for improvment

Bit of a how long is a piece of string type question ........... How much do you reckon give or take a few quid, it would cost to get the front end parts needed for the job?

Doing various bits and pieces during this off season but defo toying with the R1 front end for next year.

Your bikes are definitely a source of inspiration for me Luke. That R1 front you've got on there at the mo (2008 wasn't it?) looks the mutts. But you're right, it ain't cheap, so I guess I'll be limiting myself to '03 forks on mine next year. Hopefully, will be talking to you about the R6 rear shock mod too.
Really good of guys like you and Mike to be willing to share your knowledge the way you do too. Many thanks to both of you.

yeah it does look scary on paper but you still can offload your front end and wheels to recover some cost
