Just got in to work in similar rain. It's not the rain on the road that bothers me, it's the shit that's got through my waterproofs!
Got to spend the next 6 hours sitting in wet pants.  :\
Broken, bruised, forgotten, sore,
too fucked up to care any more.

My gear is pretty good and only a few damp patches.  My real hate is putting the stuff back on nextday, still damp.

Not looking forward to getting back to blighty next Thursday. Here in Egypt it's been 37 degrees last three days and constant sunshine. Going on a quad ride into desert tomorrow, crucial gear is just water anda headscarf. Makes a change from me waterproofs! Petrol is 16p a litre here...ridiculous innit.

Yup I guess they are, but that's the 80 octane shite most of em run on, the normal stuff is a heady 18p a litre! They can't believe whe pay so much tax on stuff we can't do without like fuel. I know that big farm house me and penny are renting needs another 700 litres of heating oil for the boiler to see us thru til the lease ends in January, and its gonna cost us 420 quid!

Actually Bactrian camels are native to the Gobi Desert. That is in Mongolia. These are the twin tank camels.
The Dromedary camel, however, has a single tank and are the ones you see in Africa and the Middle east. They do exist in various other places around the world suchas Australia and America. But that is due to exportation :rolleyes

Yup we are in sharm, and that makes sense mate. The people don't earn a lot. The English bloke who does the bike tours and scuba diving hadta bribe two officials five Egyptian pound each to get his car licence( he don't read Arabic) that's 50p each in English... :eek
