Truth be told its already very very clean ^^
Will definitely be keeping it tidy myself though - its worth doing when decent results can be achieved. Cleaning my 6 is pointless because it will still look like crap once I've finished ![]()

Not pointless at all. You might be surprised at how well it comes up. Plus, will help you spot further problems before they get out of hand. You're still keeping it, so why let it fall apart? And if you're not keeping it, you'll get more for it if it at least looks like it's had some attention. Not to mention it'll be easier to work on.
![]() Now you've got the thou, there's no hurry, a bit at a time as and when....
13-10-13, 08:44 PM
Good luck with the thou, I have to admit to being tempted but it was far to far away from me to be able to view so no matter how tempting I'll bide my time. If something within an hours drive came up in the right condition (perfect / as new) at a fair price I'd very tempted. Anyway get some pictures posted and enjoy your new toy.

Aftermath of a Sorry mate I didn't see you.
On the way to work yesterday morning, I doing about 30 to 40 Kph around 20-25 Mph when I see this fellow in a black BMW stopped at the yield sign next thing I know he pulls out into my path, braking as hard as possible, I go for the gap which kept getting smaller, I headed for the ditch to avoid him and eventually had to bail out. :'( He stops, while I pick my self up and he "I didn't see you", Now the exchange I said "If you looked you would have seen me", and he replies "but there is dip you can't see and you must have been in the dip" So I says "if I saw you and tried to stop if you looked you would have seen me" but not his fault. I called the cops they listen to both sides and he admits to them he did not see me. :eek He argues with the cops and the lady cop points out the yield sign and told him that when the insurance company ring them she will be telling them that he pulled out from a side road with a yield sign when it wasn't safe to do so end of story and he still argures that it was not his fault. :eek He then tells the cops that if he had pulled out in front of me I would have run into the side of him. She then tells him that from the marks on the road and grass that I took avoiding action to prevent a crash to my own detriment :wall I'm here listening in disbelief. :'(

I had a similar accident on my old Blade when about to go around a mini roundabout and the car coming towards me doesn't stop. I'm leant over to go right and have to slam the brakes on, the front locks up and down I go. Tnuc doesn't even stop, so my cracked fairing and various other road marks are left for me to repair with no one else's insurance to claim off. I should of ploughed into him but self preservation stopped me Mickey

Nice looking Gen 1 Deadeye
![]()
Yamaha Fazer 'the only bike you'll ever need' maybe ???
Loving it so far - more so from the fact that its a bike that works ^^ As I said to my friend, I'd forgotten what it was like to "ride" a bike instead of just holding on whilst going fast and hoping for the best...
I was more than comfortable with the power and extra size - I've ridden Exup's Gen 1 a few times so I knew what to expect. Its mostly getting used to all the nice little things that most others probably take for granted; such as riding below 3k rpm with ease, pulling away easily in 6th, going around corners smoothly ![]() Almost thought the gearing was different as the bike seemed lazy but to be honest, I didn't really give it full throttle at any point and didn't really go over 7k rpm so when I think about it I was hardly using the bike at all ![]() ![]() So, anyone going to HTB on Sunday will see me on my new beast ^^ <3 P.S. Just to confirm, 6th gear 4k rpm = 60 mph?
17-10-13, 07:15 PM
Welcome to the Ivanised gen 1 club! You beat Exupnut to it, brilliant! :lol
And a really nice one too, I'm real pleased for you. Yeah, 7k rpm is where they really get interesting, glad to hear you're taking your time with that. It'll now be really hard for you to live with any other bike for long - nothing else is as all-round capable as these are for so little dosh. All we need now is some decent weather so you can really get to know it, at least you got some to pick it up in. Then it'd be really interesting to hear more about what you think of it, especially coming from the 600.

Colour arguments aside ( :lol ), I've always liked the black engine/frame ones.
