popped the front sprocket cover off to check on the front sprocket nut and clean some of the gunge out the cover from the scottoil. think i have pinpointed my deceleration noise as a non-OEM front sprocket? then adjusted the chain and refitted the cover.
now its time to clean and polish it (again :rolleyes), before covering it for the night

bugger me. what did they plug it with. gold?!?
Filter and oil change. Not very exciting but something to do whilst the rain falls monotonously down.
Left Wrexham in the drizzle at 8-15am to Corwen, Cerrigydrudion ( met Trev as arranged), Betws y coed, Capel Curig. LLyn Ogwen, Bethesda, Brittania bridge, on to the Wirral 100 club race meeting at the Anglesey Circuit. Overcast, but dry, and some good racing. Hit some rain between Bangor and Betws y coed on the way home. Arrived back just before dark. Bike needs cleaning tomorrow. 160 miles in total.
While the bike is hung high and dry i thought i would degrease the rear sprocket and give it a coat of gold paint to match the chain

I had mine repaired with a mushroom patch 3 weeks ago for €10
Fitted new front brake pads and cleaned the calipers, went for Ferodo Platinum organics as recommended by punkstig. Also after researching my Metzeler Z8 tyres found out I've been riding with the wrong pressures for a while :rolleyes and went from 33 36 which I thought was correct to 36 40 as that is the manufacturers specification.
Brakes are awesome, my old pads whatever they were were getting very low and these new ones are quality. The lever barely needs pulling and the feel is much better, I doubt they're even bedded in yet either. As for the tyre pressures, I did surprisingly feel a difference. Handling was much the same, very good in my opinion, but in a straight line it seemed to roll along better and felt more comfortable somehow.

Why not just a mushroom repair kit and do it yourself , £39.00 for repair and re-balance, unless it was a brand new tyre?
Give it a good wash and cleaned the chain, using a product I have never heard of before KH 70 bought it in Lidl here in Spain, if you are not familiar with it can recommend it excellent, even just rinsed the cloth I used and paint brush under the water tap.
Ride out tomorrow planned mountains around Guadalest should be a good turnout.
