First attempt with my new cam
Ride home from work
No Trackdays, no scenic country lanes and no exotic mountain passes - just the ride home from work.
Bugetish cam (Polaroid XS100) but I'm impressed. Shows it works in low light and stabilisation does work - mounted on the ram mount where my GPS normally goes. Some sequences are sped up before you accuse me of being a total nutter. Originally filmed in full HD but downscaled by Youtube.

Nice sensible riding which is always a pleasure to see... making progress but not being a dick about it compared to some of the others you can briefly see in your video, so kudos from me ^^
good picture

....your ride home is about as interesting as mine :\ ......is that british telecom your starting from ?
One, is never going to be enough.....
That sure is hell !!!! :evil
shit traffic, but still better on a bike than sat in a car.
Good quality though
An ageing test pilot for home grown widgets that may fail at anytime.
Hey Sean, nice quality there-
At Hyde park corner cut north then head into the park 'south carriage drive'
It will cut out all of the traffic through Knightsbridge
Come out the park, turn right onto Kensington road (unfortunately back into traffic, buuuut, wider open road to filter)
Follow it and turn left onto Earls court road, which puts you back on the A4,
More convoluted route but quicker with less traffic.
For the route into town cut up at Queens gate, turning right into either prince consort road to get to exhibition, use bare net road to wiggle past Albert hall which leads you back to the park!
Give it a go fella, makes a much more pleasurable commute!

Baynard House - well spotted blackcabbie. Ugly, but while they provide an entire floor of free, undercover, secure bike parking within 3 minutes of my office I will support their continued existence
.
Punkstig - ta, that Knightsbridge stretch is a real PITA. Will give it a go tomorrow. Don't know London very well so I'll check a map this evening and mount the satnag as a security blanket

One thing I find quite fun tbh is my route planning-
It's always a constant mash up, it starts with the straightest line from point A to B,
Are there any roads that are faster flowing (less traffic (mainly parks))
work out any known traffic works (which sometimes means bypassing an entire area)
Some routes will take a diversion just to cut out traffic lights,
And strangely enough longer routes can actually work out being faster!
