With the new MT-09 coming out this year for £6800 I cant see many going for a FZ8 now. I hope dealers haven't stocked up with the 2013 version because they wont sell them.

I'm still happy with my fazer8. I've the faired one and prefer that and for what it is rather then the MT 09.

Me too. I've had mine 3 years and its a great all round bike. I'll still be interested in any half faired offering but it will have to be good to make me change.

I like the Fazer 8, won't be changeing it for an MT 09 for sure.

I wouldn't change mine for one either. I sat on the US version, a FZ9 up in Colorado a few weeks ago and it was nice but why would you make a motorcycle with a chain and no center stand? At least my FZ8 had all the brackets for one and the nice people at Yamaha made a center stand that I could purchase. :eek I must admit that a bike 50 pounds lighter with more horsepower sounds like fun but I do all the light maintenance on my bikes and cleaning and lubing the chain on my 600 is a royal pain. I didn't like the color we got stuck with here in the US either. Now the blue 2013 FZ1 is another story.

Would imagine the "Fazer family"600s,thous & 800s will all be discontinued soon which in one sense is good news for us in the know as prices will fall. Not sure whether the Diversion family will go the same way as the MT07 is a two-cylinder bike. The good thing is theres never been a better time to pick up a good FAZER!

Iv had my Fazer8 for just short of two years now and really like it.
The wife is going to try it out this year as her FZS600 is getting a bit tired now so if she gets on with it il lose it to her, so I have had fun at the shows and dealers looking and trying other bikes but no joy so im going to get another Fazer8 in a different colour. As for the MT range don't like it It feels to short, btw the reason the wife wants my bike is I bought the white one which is what she wanted.

I;ve had 4 prev previous fazer 600...enjoyed then all. Last one being a Fazer S2 2007 model. Really nice bike. I now have a faired 800 and just love it. It does it all, very fast :rolleyes , light and just a great handling bike. I hope they keep making fazer for a long time to come.

I've had my FAZER 800 ABS since June 2013, to me it's a brilliant bike, it's fast fun and great for touring on.Did 2000 miles in scotland in September it was a joy to ride, would't change for a MT09.

The MT09 is a totally different bike to the Fazer8, it wouldn't really suit my needs although it was a real buzz to ride.
Will be dusting Fazer8 off this week, looks like it might be dry for a while.

I went over to CMC at Clay Cross a couple of weeks ago with the Mrs to check out the MT09 and the FZ8 side by side as I had never really seen them both 'close up' in the flesh. Both are lovely bikes. I said to the MRS, "if, hypothetically speaking :\ I was going to replace the boxeye which do you think would be the best choice ?" She pretty much summed it up by saying, "The MT09 looks great for short 'one up' blasts but if you want me to come with you then it would be the FZ8. Cant really argue with that
Yamaha Fazer 'the only bike you'll ever need' maybe ???
