Unable to view 'Username' topic
#1
For some reason I am completely unable to get in to the "Username." thread in the General section. I was able to post in it yesterday, but now it just won't load... completely blank page presented by the browser

You and I both, which is strange.
Which browser are you using?
I'm off to have a wee look, but there is nothing obvious that I can see, which means I've probably turned it off!
:rollin

I could see it whilst I wasn't logged in, but not when I am, which is even more curious.

I've tried in Opera, Chrome and IE - all 3 the same as FF.

Go into your profile and change the number of posts per page to 5 you will be able to get into all pages except 1, so the issue exists somewhere between darsi's reply #14 and andydrz's reply #20.

My money is on evesdad's image pointing to localhost, but it's just a guess.

What to do? We cannot get to the post to edit it, unless we are logged out in which case we do not have editing permission Smile The only fix then is to use phpmyadmin to edit the posts table.

Aegis, I am away - do you feel up to the task??? If not leave it until tomorrow night when I'll be back at my desktop.

I was able to view Evesdad's reply, clicked the link (without looking at it in detail),  and got nowhere. Thread seemed OK even after that.

It's the only post that looks 'odd', cannot see any problems with the others.

Maybe it's the edited reply #17, and something's got corrupted? This would explain why someone logged in would have the problem, when guests don't. I'll be able to delve into the database tomorrow night.

'Twas evedads post that seemed to be foccin' it all up.
Sorted know, although I did delete Big Blue Bears post rather than editing it, too quick with the "yes" tab click.

Wasn't sure if this was part of the existing issues so thanks for making it its own topic Wink
