What's the bike like on the side stand, does it lean much more?
I always thought mine was jacked up because it leans over quite a bit but after measuring them, apparently not!

Mine leans too much for my liking anyway on (I think?) stock dogbones!  :eek

So people are doing this for quicker steering, but does it not affect stability at higher speeds?

Yeah, they do seem to lean just that little bit too much, in comparison to any other bike i've had.
I know shorter dog bones mess with the centre stand a bit but not totally sure about the side stand?

Stock are 140mm centre hole to centre hole.

hi

seems more stable on the side stand does lean a bit more, for me rider position is alot better i found i had to much weight on the seat with the other dog bones, steering is more positive but not to much, feels more stable, my weight feels even, handles better, comfy, rear shock seems to work better but i did grease the needle bearings in general they have made my fazer a far better bike to ride. i have short legs 30 inch inside and can still put my feet on the ground (not flat) well worth 20 qwid from ebay, give em a go easy and quick to fit and the difference is  Big Grin
ps dont forget to adjust your chain

Jacking my bike up was one of my first mods.

It turns in very quickly, actually it is hard to pick a line & stay on it but so easy to adjust mid corner.i can go into corners much wider before apexing.

I havent notice any instability at high speed but it is harder at slow speed filtering & u turn type stuff.

Ive just dropped my yokes down the forks a bit too & im waiting on my wider Renthal handlebars arriving so looking forward to testing that lot out now in combination.
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike
