Glad you made it to Loch Lomond ok Red, nice to meet both you guys as well. typically the rain kept up until i was abotu ten miles from home. lovely :lol

all that rains not going to help with the midges though, unfortunately for you. best numb the pain with a couple of tinnies  Wink

hi chaps....had a wet night in keswick last night...on the flood plain with heavy rain forcast.on edge all night as camping 30yds from derwent water....woke up this morning and pi**ing down.so packed tent up, strapped to bike and rode all the way home to good old high wycombe south bucks....raining all the way....but the mighty thou took it in its stride,great meeting you northern foccers and thanks for the tea MIRDIF64.........whos next carrier for the t shirt ?.......when it comes down this end i`ll see if i can pick it up again  Big Grin

Sorry buddy. I have stated earlier in the thread (a few times) where I am located. An I'm also on the map at the beginning of the thread.

Good to read the updates guys... Surely someone between Glasgow and Wigan to partake??

Red, You're home early...thought you were away till Friday? I have camped on the site at Keswick and I know how close to the water
it is! :eek  Hope you enjoyed your trip anyway?

Ah, Paul, you should have gone to the campsite I suggested - up above the town by Brockle Beck. A bit windy sometimes, but no risk of flooding! And great views of Derwent fells, Skiddaw and Blencathra. Never mind, maybe another time. Smile

nah, not anymore buddy - missus isnt keen now  :rolleyes Im off all this week though, so would be willing to ride a bit south to meet up one night. Im also going to the Albion Vintage Car Rally this sunday in Biggar if anyone will be in attendance there?

yeh...got fed up with the weather mate.......might pop down to the south coast for a couple of days in search of some sun,,,,excellent trip will start a new thread as have loads of photos and route ideas
