Bike Dolly
#1
Hey all, at the moment I'm having a right nightmare getting my bike into my back yard. It's a ginnel with some really tight corners, getting it in involves reverse turns and almost scraping my exhaust and mirrors (got a scuff on my mirrors to show for it already).

It would be a whole load easier if I had something like this:
http://goo.gl/vvpnz - a rear paddock stand with castors..

Issue with that is it doesn't look like the paddock stand will lift the fazer - as it doesn't have the bits the paddock stand is meant to latch on to.

Does anyone know of attachments for the swingarm to make this work? Or otherwise a dolly that'll work?

Cheers.

-Ahh crap wrong subforum, could a mod move this to the FZS600 board?

Aye I did look at those, what worries me though is how easily the fzs600's centre stand rusts through and dies, and also how hard it is to use the centre stand at all.. You have to have an Arnie moment.

If your centre stand is hard to use its prob due to corrosion of centre bridge section causing feet to go out of alignment. NOW is the time to get it repaired/replaced/junked before it drops the bike :eek or drops on the road while youre moving. :eek I had same prob but now its mended its easy to operate :lol

Cheers I'll have a look. Wonder how stable the centrestand dolly's are and how easy they are to use..

Instead of the center stand, could you not get your front wheel on the dolly, pull the brake on and move it around that way? Or better still the back wheel if you can work out a way of putting the back brake on while pushing the bike.

Doddsie - well that original paddock stand one I posted would do exactly that - which brings me back to the question: has anyone seen anything like that with a paddock stand with fittings that'll hold up an fzs600?

Edit - Or some bobbins for the swingarm.. I couldn't see anywhere to fix them :/
