14L fuel tank?
I like the looks. Light weight at 188kg wet. £6799. The exhaust/can doesn't look like a dogs dinner either which is hard to achieve these days given the amount of silencing/cat converter etc. According to MCN its adjustable up front for rebound, rear is preload and rebound.
They were doing well up to the 14l fuel tank. 12l to leave a a little leaway @50mpg = 132 miles. Seat looks a little thin too. Hopefully a faired version with a bigger tank and fully adjustable suspension will be next.
Looks excellent bar the 14 litre tank. Why do they keep doing this? Haven't they looked at the solid kicking the VFR1200 has had for the last 3 years over tank size and realised titchy tanks are f. irritating?
And who'd buy a naked Fazer 8 now that this is here? I'm praying they do a Crossplane Fazer 1100 in the same vein.

give it another 6 or even 7 litres in the fuel tank add another 50 bhp and I'd be interested ! looks ok but no substance !

Really, a 14l tank?
Woopeee If thats all you can complain about then it looks like job done for Yam. "Preposterous......where is there on there that will facilitate my sat nav. I mean, come on. That looks like exactly the kind of bike I'd like to cross Germany on yet theres absolutely nowhere to stick my party lederhosen."
Smell ones mother. Yaas!

Yamaha always seem to be able to come up with something different. It'll be really interesting to see how that triple engine pans out.

Triple engine could be a winner. I would test one to compare against my street triple.

I assume they are going to drop the MT-03 then and replace it with this? Even if they don't good luck selling the MT-03 stock with its higher price. http://www.yamaha-motor.eu/uk/products/m...mt-03.aspx
It looks like they have tried to meet in the middle of the MT-03 and the MT-01 but been a little to reserved. Needs a bigger tank and a little more power maybe? 1 litre would have probably been ideal. With the future R1 and R6 engines touted to be triples maybe they should have developed them and detuned the engines and put them in a range of MT bikes much like they did with the fazers? All that aside I could still be tempted with one ![]()
Lord,
Grant me the WD-40 to move those things that are stuck, the Duck tape to fasten those things that are loose, And the wisdom to know the difference. Amen

if its anything like triumph triple engines, probably the best road bike engine ever , they could be successful. But.....lets wait and see eh ?
the Z750 looked the part but performed less satisfactorily.Given the " logic" of the fazer 8 concept ...who knows what could happen??

looks nice, a 14L tank is ok on what is a street bike and ridden at the speed limits should give a range of 140+, ok I know that's not going to happen.
Does any one know what MT stands for? when the BT 1100 and the MT-01 first came out I'm sure I read it was "big twin" & "mega twin" ?

I have to say it reminds me of this

Small fuel tank, 0 aerodinamics, no place for luggage. Why??
They should make a half faired version with a proper tail.

Looks like fun though
