This happened at beginning of the month and road very gently home as cleaning off did not work so road as I was scrubbing them. Been out once since but very wary riding as I is not sure if the rubber will be damaged and money is tight so no new tyres which means no riding if new rubber is required. :'(
The vid shows me ranting and profanities so if that sort of thing upsets do not watch.
All advice welcomed as this is a new one on me.

You'd be unlucky to have written off the tyres, just check once all the crap is off that there aren't any serious cuts or splits? The real bastad tho is all the possible chip damage to the plastics paint etc?
'Highways' are sh*te in this respect, it's the worst surface on earth and I can only assume its used for cost/maintenance reasons. Or someone at 'Highways' just doesn't like bikers...
Someone sent me a postcard picture of the earth. On the back it said, "Wish you were here."

Easy to clean off, use engine degreaser, gunk etc or petrol on a rag and rub the affected areas getting right into the treads. Wash tyre with soapy water, rinse and ride :-)
Still got tar between tread but other than that they look OK. Then there is the rest of the bike that needs cleaning and checking for damage on the under belly/down pipes. Bloody stones flying all over place. I would not have minded if there were signage to warn me what I was riding into but nothing until I turned a corner after 50 yards of the stuff. It took all vehicles by surprise.
All the advice on oil based products is to clean off asap this is what is worring.

Just had a fantastic run out to Skeggy that day via Doncaster, Grimsby and anywhere else that my directional ineptness led me. So decided to take the short rout home and got pissed off at the time. So I just had to stop and rant in mi northern accent to aid in the calm down calm down calm down moment I needed.

Surface Dressing 2010 picture 24 April 2010 is exactly how it looked when and I followed the car track laid by the vehicle in front but had to move over due to junction and a very keen driver forcing way into oncoming traffic.
