Speedometer not working/fluctuating
#1
Hello everyone, your help would be massively appreciated once again..
my year 2000 fazers speedometer has stopped working, all of a sudden its packed in. I have checked the fuse box and the head fuse has melted which i guess suggests a short somewhere. I have replaced the fuse and the speedo still does not work but occasionally fluctuates for a few seconds at a time whilst i'm riding but never gives a consistent speed. Any help would be really appreciated!

Cheers,

Will

Ceramic drive dog in the speedo is probably broken (Two small tabs on the speedo drive wheel) that's what happened to mine.

Just do a search mate plenty of info.

No.15 that slots into your left side of the front wheel centre is the normal culprit but only when the wheel has been removed and the lugs haven't been aligned properly on refitting.
Having a burnt fuse and a fluctuating occasional speedo points elsewhere i reckon.
