Time for new mobile phone contract
#21
Take a look at Carphone Wharehouse.

They have monthly deals starting with a free Galaxy Ace @ just £7.50/mth ??
I used to not give a foc, then I discovered Red Bull and now I don't give a flying foc !!!

Call Vodafone and tell em what you want. You'll usually get a fair bit better deal than originally offered.

I have the Ace2 with T Mobile  for £10.50 a month with half a gig.
Tidy little phone. jellybean upgrade due soon.

My Boy has the Desire C with Tesco,
Tesco one of the few where you can cap usage so there's no overspend. (useful as he's just 11)
Sent from my pants - using talkingbollocks

You get the £15 in credit too! only caveat is that they display an advert when you access the internet, but you just scroll down and select ok, and surf away.

Signed up with Ovivo last Wednesday and just had to chase the SIM:

Smells of bullsh1t, but for £15 I'll give them a go for a while.  Still nervy about porting my number to them though!

I'd be in a similar position to andy. But im debating whether to get a phone with a 1gig limit or pay twice the price and get an ulimited internet connection for a laptop. On average I'd probably do a bit of browsing and look at a few youtube videos in a day. Would 1gig cover that or does youtube use alot?

At standard definitions I'd suggest an estimate of about 1MB per minute of video - HD quality will obviously be more

Plenty of apps about to keep track of your usage throughout the month though. I use one called "My Data Manager" by Mobidia Technology
