Fitted new piston seals to my rear caliper and a refurb kit to my rear master cylinder. Fitted new braided lines and hh pads front and back and bled all round. Stops now, yay.
Left Wrexham at 9-30am in the drizzle, direction Whitchurch- Newport-Wolverhampton. Spent a couple of hours at Penn visiting friends, then return same route, 117 miles in total. Very strong, gusting side winds on the way back, but dry. hanging on to the bars at times.
Finally got access to a laptop to enable me to install the Multifunction Hub and Fuel Map Switch onto the Power Commander III USB meaning I can switch between the "touring" map and the "fun" map to save fuel when I don't need the extra power
(Although I had to phone Dynojet up in the States to find out why, despite following their instructions, it wouldn't recognise the Hub was there. Turns out instead of version 2.3.1 of the firmware I needed 2.3.2! :rolleyes )
Breathed a huge sigh of relief when my good friend Brian skillfully managed to not only drill out a exhaust stud that had snapped off flush when i took the exhaust off to spray the downpipes but this stud also contained a snapped off easy out.
And the great thing was that he saved the threads and did it with the engine still in the bike minus the forks and radiator.
Well weather forecast was good yesterday, so planned a small trip with a couple of mates. Did Airdrie-Callander-Oban-Lochgilphead-Campbeltown, stopped for lunch and then on way home we're back to Lochgilphead-Inverary-Callander-Airdrie.
380 ish miles and hardly got stuck in traffic. Some cracking scenery as well. What a day..
Beautiful sunny day. Left Wrexham at 9-15am, Bwlchgwyn, Bryneglwys, Corwen, Bala. Called for my mate Trev on his FZ6 Fazer. We then continued to Dolgellau, Fairbourne, to the race meeting at Tonfanau. Incredible value for money. £6 entry and 24 races to watch. Organised by the Crewe and South Cheshire M/C. They could double the entrance fee and it would still be fantastic value. It costs over £20 to watch the local football team in the Blue Square Premier for 90 minutes !
Left Tonfanau about 5-15pm, returned by same route, 134 miles, not too much traffic.
Attached a couple of photos, Bala lake on the way out, and the famous salute at Tonfanau.
Hope everybody had a great and safe weekend.
Looks like the Preseli mountains to me, noggy?
Went for a blast yesterday on 600 am then took the thou out pm to blow the spiders out!
Today was round Worcestershire highways & byways-fantastic weather & plenty of bikes out-didn't see any Fazers though!
