Your opinion needed!!

I think the red and black looks good.  If you could do contrast with a metallic black chromaflair jobbie, that would rule.

My only issue is that black shows up the dirt big style.

You could always go with the carbon wrap  Wink

If you carbon wrap anything be prepared to burn your thumbs!  :lol

Damn near lost my thumbs doing my airbox covers!  :lol

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

Well, here are the potential mods:

Repsray black (a certainty)
Frame - diff. colour
Probolt kit for the frame colour
Carbon cover the airboxes (well, vinyl cheaty...  Wink )

That's it so far.

I'm gonna steal that carbon idea. Sorry!
Put some vinyl on my mirror backs and those air boxes. Hopefully that'll complement my carbon -look hugger.  :lol

Have you considered matte black? And maybe do the frame red and new white decals?

I think metallic black (metal flake) would look better, I love the original paint on the tank, and want to replicated that look.

The bike will get a small amount of decals when reprayed. In moderation, of course.  The frame colour is my bugbeart at the moment though...

I think it was Fazer390 who had a carbon wrapped frame at the Brum meet - but his bike was a) a thou and b) silver. That much carbon on a 600 would daft, and frankly, tacky if the rest of the bike is black. And before Exupnut chips in, that's the colour it's staying. Mainly because I can't be arsed to update the V5!  :lol :lol

+1 on gold also. Sam Sparro - Black and Gold
Don't think the red quite works. You gonna ahve to take the engine out to get to it all?

I'll ask my friend to mock up a few more colours for me.

Yes, the engine will need to come out, and the frame stripped. The 28,000 mile service is coming up though, might be a good opportunity to clean out the engine, and check internal components.

Well good luck with it!  Wink  Take some pics of anything interesting you come across - I'm just about to hit 20,000 miles and would be interesting in things to look out for. Also would be good to see the gold mock up.... thanks

ooh, harsh.  To be fair sometimes it is just cheaper to sell it and buy summat new.  You could keep it how it is, get it derestricted and enjoy it.  Appearances are not everything :-P

Now seeing the ducati a dark grey will go better with the red frame than the existing black
