Black Hugger for a 98-01 FZS600 (5DM1, 5DM4 or 5DMC ), excellent condition. Bought from somebody on here but never fitted (to my bike). £35  (+P&P)



Adjustable fork caps (and all internal washer / spacers etc). If you've got a 98-99 (5DM1 or 5DM4) with non-adjustable forks, best (cheap) thing you can do to improve the front end. Again, bought from somebody on here (Matty, in this case) and never put on mine. £20 ono (+P&P)


[SOLD] Scorpion carbon can for a 98-99 (5DM1 or 5DM4), great condition (inc strap, link pipe). stamped not for road use, but isn't ridiculously loud by any means, I never had any bother from our friends in blue while it was on the bike. £50 ono (+P&P)

Hi Richfzs  how do the end caps improve the front end mate and whats the problem with the early FZS 6's as I've just bought one and would like to know if thats ok??  Mine a 99 model

Hi,

The standard forks on the '98 & '99 bikes were non-adjustable - so whether you were a 8 stone petit girl or a 20 stone brick outhouse, the forks were what they were.

For 2000 on, Yamaha added the adjustable (for preload) caps, so that the 20 stone fella could wind them up and they would no longer feel as soft. Or indeed if you were 8 stone but just prefered a harder front end (there's a Finbarr Saunders in there somewhere!!), the choice was yours.
