wish I had not bothered...

So 8 hours later I now have an exhaust that is blowing at the can joint and the collector box joint.

The whole fucking lot is going in the river in a minute.

After fitting it in about an hour perfectly with no blowing I decided to take out the baffle to see what difference it made and promptly dropped the baffle screw down the exhaust.

So I take the whole lot off again to get the screw and fit it again only this time it doesn't want to line up properly, so after an hour of sweating and twisting I get it on, tighten up the clamps and start up - blowing at both clamps

So I tighten up both clamps and over tighten the bottom one and break it.

I then spend 3 hours driving around  in heavy traffic to useless bike shops trying to replace the exhaust bracket - everybody is obviously trying to get to where I want to be.

I tried 4 supposedly reputable bike shops, it would have been 5 but one was shut for the day (WTF?), 1 Halfords and 2 car spares shops all the time fighting my way through traffic jams and road works.

Eventually get one but as it's an OEM one it costs £21.85 - no, that's not a typo, I do mean £21.85 for a fucking exhaust clamp.

Get back home after a 3 hour journey and refit it, twice, because it doesn't want to go on now.

Started up the bike and I can feel it blowing at both ends.

ENOUGH. I GIVE UP.

That sucks mate.

Have a break for a few hours or come back to it tomorrow and give it another go.

In my experience there's no point working on something when you're frustrated as something else breaks and it's a pain in the arse. Come back to it after a good meal and a cup of tea and you know it does go back together ok so you'll get it done again.

Just take your time and it'll be great when you've got it sorted. We've all been there and felt your pain.

All the best,

Chris

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

Got up Saturday and fitted it properly in about an hour, sounds great, bit louder than my old Scorpion but then it's larger capacity bike so I would expect that.

Had a ride to Wood Green to pick up an E Bay purchase and was smiling after the first 10 minutes which lasted the whole journey, certainly lets cagers know you are there!

I bet there would of been enough pressure to send the nut to where u needed to catch it on that magnet mate, magnet in, engine on, lots of revs and retrive. Hindsights a real bitch aint it  Big Grin

Sounds an awesome way to make a nut airgun.
Opinions are like A**holes, Everyone has one.  Some people seem to have more than one though which is a bit odd.
