Parts available for Fazer 600
#21
If he would do a deal all the better, can't afford much these days, the problem is the carbs the other prick got we're set right but for a bike with standard pipes, I have racing pipes(apparently) and the back pressure is different, that's where I was loosing between 1-5, I raised the needles since and it works but not 100% and bogs abit at 7k.

Do you have a direct number for him or just email? We're Ur carbs jetted for the new down pipes? Will also prob get the chain if he does a good deal.

Also, does your fairings have the same plastic rivets as the box eye???? I need three rivets now :'(

His contact details are on the first post. I'll be seeing him today in person and I'll ask what he'll do the carbs for. I dunno what way they were set up, but they ran smooth throughout all the rev range for me and I was using aftermaket downpipes and can + K&N filter. I'd  say he'd knock the rivets on the head...he probably would sell the whole screen & rivets together.

I mis-read it (Monday) and thought he was talking about the screen. Anyway, I can't see the boxeye and Foxeye fairing using anything the same really....I'd say a job for AJ Sutton or Fowlers.

+1 to this

I bought some from eBay the other week - dirt cheap, they were about £3 for 10 of them I think (delivered). They weren't identical to the OEM ones, but they fit and do the job and that's all I care Tongue

Right? Which size do I order? Thanks packie, let me know what he says. Lol no just the 4 rivets of the plastics under the handlebars. How much do ya think he might look for the chain and sprockets?

Wel those carbs should run better I surpose

Padraig......

You might ring or email Glen (breaker) and get a price on parts. He was late arriving yesterday and I forgot to ask him in the rush. He's sound anyway, and my experience with him is that he is about the cheapest around compared to other breakers in the country. I think you might pick those carbs up for about €80 or close to it, i'd say.

As I said, they were pulling my bike like a train throughout the rev range up until the moment I knew she was dying a death.

If you are getting the chain & sprockets, I'm nearly certain it's a DID x ring. You will need to buy a split link for it. Wemoto I think supplies them. Ask him to throw in the new sprocket nut that I put on the bike too for free of charge. Also, tell him to split the chain on the link that I riveted on installation. It's easy to spot that link.

As for the plastic rivets.....the foxeye model don't use those rivets....they use plain type flat head screws. Deadeye has the right part in his ebay link, but AJ Sutton sells them half that price at £1.38 but check postage costs.

Thanks again packie, ill see what the craic is next week, not overly fond of parting with more money though on the carbs as I have already forked out 300 quid to the last cowboy. Thanks again though, ill but sure to ask him, he might throw in that strong wire and all hahahaha!

I should have put some around the big-end and rod instead of the sprocket nut!  :rolleyes

I'm grand about it. I have lost count, but I must have bought and owned about 20 different bikes in my time, so at some stage luck might go against you.

On the plus side, my b12 is getting a good workout and a joy on the road. I put a lot of dosh into that bike when I bought her new in '03, and I can still see why I have never needed to own anything else for my main bike.

Btw Foxwood....

There's a chap looking for a blue tank in the "buy & sell" section and he knows about this sale...

The tank is perfect condition btw. No dents, scratches or rust.

Sorry about that, Andy....I was under the impression that he was selling you the tank. Someone must have have made him an offer for the lot. I probably shoud have broke the bike myself and sold it over a period of time, but I just wanted to see the back of it ASAP.
