as pointed out about the levers not red they have been changed since pic taken and are now red.as for the cat d every body has there own opinion about it and the only damage was a little piece from fairing,it does not take alot to cat them.i think £3500 is a fair price for what has been done to it but hey thats just me.cheers

Nothing wrong with a CAT D as long as it has been repaired properly, I have sent the pic to a friend who is looking for a Fazer 1000.

Looks great to me.... only things I would change would be the screen in favour of a smoked one and also the grab rails which I think would look better in white....

Great job though and deserving of 3-3500K in my opinion.

This is why on our forum (cars, not bikes) we don't allow people to reply to ads - that has to be done by PM - that way it saves the seller getting a lot of posts discussing the sale item and how it's too expensive and how my mate Dave bought one just like to for a tenner last weekend....

P.S.  It looks lovely.  Wish mine looked as tidy.  If it is CAT D, then the easiest way to put buyers minds at rest is to have the details of why it's written off and what the costs were to repair, and also have the receipts for the new bits/work done to show it wasn't smashed to fuck under a truck, and just needed a new headlight and exhaust, or whatever.

I'd have no problems over it being Cat D. I've known dealers who sell 'em from their showrooms. As long as it's all up front and in the open. It's up to the buyer to say whether or not he's happy. I agree that the main worry for a buyer is what was done to it - if you know that, make your decision. If not, walk away. I don't recall hearing of any major insurance hikes for Cat D bikes, but I could be wrong. If anyone knows ABSOLUTELY FOR CERTAIN, please tell us, it'd be useful info to have... :book
